Painting Classes for Adults
The following classes include beginning level instruction up to advanced levels. If you are a beginner, an excellent way to start would be to take the Fast Forward - Beginning Painting and/or Fast Forward - Drawing. These are repeatable foundation classes that cover traditional painting and drawing methods and materials and lay a solid foundation for further development. You will enjoy the longer, smaller classes that allow for plenty of personal attention.
Those with some previous experience can choose from all painting and drawing classes. Students are asked to decide the subject matter they want to work on, so bring ideas in the form of photos you have taken, sketches and drawings. Please bring a couple of examples of your current work to the first class.
Only one make up class may be scheduled per session unless special arraignments have been made with the instructor.
Session I: Begins the week of January 9 – ends week of February 13, 2017 (6 weeks)
Session II: Begins the week of February 20 – ends week of April 3, 2017 (6 weeks)
Session III: Begins the week of April 10 – ends week of May 15, 2017 (6 weeks)
Painting:
Prerequisite: Fast Forward Beginning Painting - or equivalent; except for Monday PM - Beginning Painting class.

*Session II: No classes are scheduled for the week of March 27th. This is spring break in the Cyrstal Lake schools. Make up days may be scheduled (days and times TBA).

Fast Forward Beginning Painting:
You will work on basic painting handling, (including blending, wet into wet, wet on dry, and dry brush), as well as blocking in through finishing work on your painting.
